Ryan is an aspiring environmental professional, geographer, outdoor leader, guide, athlete, published writer, photographer and filmmaker. Most times he can be found in his hometown of Vancouver, B.C. He has a love of travel and outdoor sports, and when the opportunity presents itself will take on adventures that have brought him all over the world. Ryan has worked as an outdoor educator for the last 8 years,and is a recent graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, specialized in Environment & Sustainability at the University of British Columbia. Faroe Des Roches

The Pipedreams Project: the movie is Faroe's first documentary film. Faroe is a kayak instructor in Vancouver; she has been instructing kayaking since 2005 and enjoys sharing her love of the land and ocean with others. Faroe completed her Bachelor's degree in anthropology at Simon Fraser University in 2010. Raised off the sea air and rain of coastal Bristish Columbia, and struck by people and landscapes in places far from her birthplace, Faroe is an experienced and passionate adventurer with a strong drive to create social change and preserve the environment. Through her travels and studies, Faroe has been impassioned by the challenge of imagining alternatives, pushing the boundaries of expectation and accepting new ways of seeing the world.
Curtis White
Paddling Team & Videography
Curtis White is an enthusiast of all activities that can be done outdoors and is recently certified as an instructor with Paddle Canada. His love of the natural environment has motivated him to dedicate his time, when not attending classes, to paddle, cycle, climb and explore. He believes in living his life with respect and reverence for planet earth and plans future adventures and endeavors with this uppermost in his mind. Paddling the west coast of British Columbia is the kind of challenging opportunity that Curt seeks to fulfill himself and to further connect his values to his lifestyle.
Brian Dixon
Paddling Team & Videography
Brian Dixon joined the Pipedreams Team for the first leg of their journey. He is a seasoned kayak guide raised in Alaska. After 20 years as a media professional, Brian made the obvious decision to progress his career as a merchant marine. He was most recently involved in the film "Paddle to Seattle" and has been at the helm of oil tankers from Alaska to Panama.

_Hauke is a visual storyteller with over 10 years experience in video editing and compositing. A few years ago he began focusing on having a positive impact on communities and individuals by working with non-profits and youth projects along Canada’s west coast. His work creates moments of flow and coherence using music and visuals as a way of documentary storytelling. Most inspiring directors to Hauke are Mark Achbar, Johan Söderberg and Werner Herzog.
